Trouble at the Border (Open)

Tori drove down the streets in a green 2002 Ford Mustang headed for the entrance of Ovega City within the state of New York. It was her hope that she could start a new life here in the city far away from the drama of home and far away from military life. Although she knew it was going to be quite the adjustment going from military life to civilian life once more.

She was dressed in a green tank top with red jeans and red shoes and a leather red jacket over her tank top. Even though it was nowhere near time for Christmas, Tori always enjoyed mixing her two favorite colors, green and red, together in her wardrobe. For it matched with both her long hair and her emerald green eyes. She wore her hair down as she drove down the road of the streets leading into the city.

After passing a sign that said “Welcome to Ovega City!” a woman suddenly wandered out in front of Tori’s car. Tori immediately slammed her foot on the brakes of her vehicle and damn near hit the woman that was now standing out in front of her. Tori undid her seat belt and then climbed out of the car to confront the woman.

“Are you out of your damn mind!? I could’ve hit you!”

But the woman didn’t respond. When she lifted her head up Tori saw gray decade skin upon her flesh, a broken jaw with teeth hanging out of her mouth and dead eyes. The woman rushed Tori and tried to bite into her shoulder, but Tori pushed her off of her and drew her Socom pistol aiming it at the woman.

“I’m warning you! Don’t come any closer!”

The woman charged at her again leaving Tori with no choice but to open fire on her. Ejecting a single bullet right between the eyes of the woman and penetrating her brain. The woman instantly fell down to the ground as Tori lowered her Socom which was still in her hands and came up to the woman. Something wasn’t right. This woman didn’t even look human. She looked like the walking dead, and Tori knew there was more than met this situation.

“Something’s going on here,” said Tori more to herself than anyone else.

With her Socom still in her hands Tori moved forward and began to investigate the area to see if anymore people were like the woman she just offed, and to discover the cause of the woman’s strange behavior and appearance.
